Why This Guide Was Created

Through connecting with other providers and mental health professionals we started to notice a theme. Many individuals had hopes to run their own practice but were stopped by barriers such as fear, lack of knowledge, lack of confidence, financial concerns, and most importantly, lack of support. Running a private practice can take a lot of work upfront which can be really intimidating. If you are anything like us, your grad school program didn’t teach you anything about business, finance, or how to run a private practice. Through trial and error, research, trainings, readings, consulting, and taking risks, we have been able to not only set up a practice that works for us, but allow us to live the balanced lives we have always dreamed of while also having financial stability AND actually enjoying our jobs. We understand firsthand how overwhelming it can be to start a private practice. That’s why we’re here—to provide you with the knowledge, resources, and support you need, so you don’t have to deal with the hassle of starting from scratch. You’re not alone in this, and you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. We're so glad you're here! -Haley & Kylie
